This Quark, we bring you a cutting edge workshop on Automotive Design.
The workshop will be conducted by the DC's Car Design Academy (known as
the DYPDC - Centre of Automotive Research and Studies) - an Academy
founded by Dilip Chhabria fondly knownas DC, One of the most popular car
designers in the country. His association promises to render the workshop
a productive experience for all participants. Gear up for an awesome session
on the intricacies of automobile design. The only pre-requisitesare an
enthusiasm for automobiles and the willingness to learn.
Automotive Design will be a one day workshop, and two sessions of the
same will be conducted on February 2nd and 3rd respectively.
Dates: February 2nd and 3rd, 2013
Duration: 8 hour workshop, to be covered in one day.

Course content
The one day workshop will broadly include the following topics:
1. Introduction to Automotive design
2. Design Process of BMW Vehicles
3. Learning about Car Segments
4. Basic teaching of the sketching techniques
5. Using your body to train your hand whie sketching vehicles
6. Explanation of line weight, line stroke
7. Explanation of basic side proportions of the car
8. Explanation of perspectives, 1 point-2 point-3point
9. Using perspectives in Car sketching
10. Explanation of basic reflection
By the end of the workshop the participants will have a fair idea on sketching a
vehicle in perspective with right proportions, details and shading.

Rules and Pre-requisites
Eligibility
All participants having a valid ID card of their respective educational
institutions are eligible for the workshop.
Pre Requisites
This is a basic level workshop, everything would be taught from scratch and
hence there are no pre requisites for it.
Payment Details
The cost of the workshop is Rs. 300/- per participant.
Certification
A 'Certificate of Merit’ will be awarded on successful completion of the
workshop by the DYPDC - Centre of Automotive Research and Studies.
