Trashaholic - Junkyard Wars

This is an event which puts the real test between the street smart and the book worm. You will need a blend of the two to win this event, because if you can make stuff work from trash you will surely make a hell lot of for yourself after being a full-fledged engineer.

Example Problem Statement: To throw a ball to the maximum distance. The instrument used to throw the ball will have certain constraints.

The actual problem statement will be disclosed on the spot.


  • Do not carry any material or junk with you for the event. All the junk will be provided by the event managers.
  • Only the material provided is to be used to make the necessary equipment or machine. Separate tools and instruments will not be provided.
  • The team should not consist of more than 3 members.
  • The total time allocated for each team is 3 hours.
  • If two participants throw the ball to the same distance, the participant with the minimum weight of the made instrument will be awarded the prize.


All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes are eligible to participate in the event.

Special Note

  • The decision of the judges shall be treated as final and binding on all.
  • The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.
