Event Specifications

No. of members per team: 2
This is an all science event in which teams of two can participate. The event has two rounds.

Rounds

Round Structure
There will be a mesh of inter-disciplinary questions. Teams have to make their way and reach centre by answering the question on the node.

From each node there will be several connecting nodes, which will be accessible only if the previous node question has been answered.

Nodes having questions from physics, chemistry, maths and biology will be in different colours so the participants can choose accordingly.

Nodes for which the question has been answered will be blocked for other teams. Each team can thus monitor their as well as others’ progress.

 

Eligibility

All students with a valid identity card of their respective educational institutes (school or college) are eligible to participate in the event.

 

Rules

Teams have to pre-register for the event and will be given slots accordingly. Teams given same slot will play first round simultaneously.

A specific time period will be given to answer each question. The question would be changed if the time elapses or if there is a wrong answer. Three simultaneous wrong answers will eliminate the team.

Judging Criteria

Criteria for qualifying the first round will be based on the time taken to reach the centre of the mesh. Best teams from all the rounds will be selected. In case of any discrepancy, decision of the event managers will be final.

 

Resources

Teams participating should have their own internet facility during the given slot. Any net problem on participants’ side would not be considered. 

 

Certification Policy

Participation certificate will be given to all the teams who qualify the first round. Merit certificate will be awarded to the qualifiers of second round. Winners will be given certificate of excellence.

Certificate of excellence for the winning team.
Certificate of merit will be awarded to the next ten teams.
Certificate of participation will be awarded to the qualifiers of first round.
