PRIZES WORTH Rs. 8,000 TO BE WON!!

Technology hasn’t always been designing robots and developing high funda gadgets. Its about making the world a better place to live. Education is the only tool for the upliftment of masses in the society and when technology is employed for imparting education, it makes the whole learning experience an interactive and interesting one.

The event asks for the brightest minds of this country to come up with flash software based edutainment games that can help in improvising the whole teaching/learning process in computer equipped government schools in the rural parts of the country.

The ideas gathered through the event will be used for further development and creation of efficient teaching tools to be further used in the government schools of Goa in association with NIRMAAN, an NPO run by BITSIANS worldwide. Due credits will be given to the idea holders apart from regular prize money.

PROBLEM STATEMENT

Design a flash based jigsaw puzzle game involving political map of India with the main goal to teach the concept of location of different states in India.

EVENT RULES

For the online rounds, source code (.fla file) should also be sent along with the executable file in a zipped folder to [email protected].

GENERAL RULES

  1. Maximum of 3 students are allowed to form a team.
  2. Students from different colleges are eligible to form a team.
  3. Judges decision shall be treated as final and binding on all.
  4. The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above criteria as they deem fit. Changes, if any will be highlighted on the website.

Competition Details

EVENT SCHEDULE

The event will be held in three rounds – two online and one oncampus during the festival.

1st round is not an elimination round and selection of teams for final round depends on the performance of respective teams in the earlier rounds.

JUDGING CRITERIA :

Scores will be given on the basis of effective coding, attractiveness and user friendliness of the game to the students.

The final Judging will be done with a weightage of 70% to the scores obtained in the final round and 30% to the scores obtained by a team in round 1 and 2.

CERTFICATE POLICY

  1. Top three teams will be given excellence certificate.
  2. All entries selected for the competition would be given participation certificate.
