Wall Street Revolution

It is said that stock trading is an art in itself.  The stock market is a virtual battleground for dreams - some of them are realised magnificently, while some bite the bitter dust. The Wall Street Revolution provides a virtualization of the same, albeit on a smaller scale. It aims at acquainting the participants with the nuances of the stock markets by providing a simulation of the real-world stock trading scenario.

A quick, analytical mind, the ability to think on one's feet and rapid reflexes are the only prerequisites to winning the Wall Street Revolution.

Details

Event Specifications:

Each team will be given an individual console and they will be provided with an initial capital of fictitious currency. The teams have to trade in real-time on fictitious stocks with fictitious currency. The value of each stock fluctuates in accordance with news snippets that are regularly flashed, as well as the company history. The procedure for trading is similar to that followed in a real stock exchange, but on a simplified level. Eligibility Criteria: A valid college identification card.

General Rules:

1. A student can represent only one team and cannot be a part of more than one team

2. Any number of teams can participate from the same college

3. A team can have members from different colleges.
