It is Time to give those ripples of ideas a momentum and send forth a smashing tornado!
It is Time to dare to be different.
it is Time to be completely crazy and win big bucks with wackiness!
It is Time to be creative.
It is Time to think out of the box
It is Time to be MAD!!!


The event will test your creativity, innovation, originality, marketing and promotional skills, along with your zest and technical skills for Photoshop and video making. There are NO prerequisites for participating in this event, except for familiarity with Adobe Photoshop.

M.A.D goes Bigger and Better this time with Mahindra Rise as the official partners. Your entry now stands to win not just prizes worth INR 30,000, but it may also become one of the faces of the Mahindra Rise campaign!!

 

For all those who have been toying with ideas and designs, here's how you officially make it big with MAD and Mahindra. ,

  • Certification from Mahindra.
  • Judging by GM-corporate strategy and brand management of Mahindra and Mahindra ltd
  • The winners videos will be used by Mahindra Rise for their own campaign and will be posted on their Facebook and twitter pages

PLEASE NOTE: ALL PARTICIPANTS REGISTERING AFTER 23rd JANUARY WILL BE GIVEN A CHANCE TO GET INTO THE SECOND ROUND OF THE EVENT DIRECTLY BUT WILL NOT BE ELIGIBLE FOR THE GOODIES WORTH 5K FOR THE FIRST ROUND



Details

 
 
The event comprises of three rounds as follows:
 
Round 1:
 
This is an online round wherein the participants have to make a creative PowerPoint file depicting their advertisement / story / concept for the provided Fictional Product

Round 2:

This round involves making a promotional video along with a poster for the "Mahindra Rise campaign". To all those who are wondering if you need to make a video on something huge and costly like the Mahindra Scorpio or their tractors, no, you do not need any of those things, of course if you can use them well and good.
But here's what it actually is: http://rise.mahindra.com/.

The last date for round2 is 29th January. The posters should be mailed to us and the video should be uploaded on youtube. Please do mail us the link of the video too. Selected entries get a chance to present before the Mahindra executives on campus.

Round 3:
 
This is the presentation round, wherein the participants explain their idea behind the video and poster submitted in round2. The judges will also be questioning the participants to test how convincingly they can sell it.




Rules

 

 

Round 1:

  • Even though the product is fictional, the target audience is assumed to be real.
  • The submitted file should be a .ppt file which can include pictures (in .jpg format ) and / or text to convey your idea or story of the ad.
  • The .ppt should not include any audio video or animated files in it.
  • It should be converted into .pdf while mailing it to us.
  • The ppt should have a maximum of 20 slides.
Round 2:
  • The duration of the video should not exceed 90 sec
  • Any video editing software may be used and no restrictions on the video format or how the video is made..
  • More weightage will be given to the innovation, marketing skills, creativity of the video rather than the quality
  • The poster size should be A3 and software used should be Adobe Photoshop.
  • Please ensure that you do not merge all your layers (flatten) of your PSD file and your PSD files will be checked for original work
Round 3:
  • The presentation should not exceed 10-15 min.
  • The video and the poster submitted in round2 only should be used for round3.

Maximum : 4 members

Round 2:

  • Video Editing Skills.
  • Promotional Skills .
  • Analytical Skills.
  • Innovation & Creativity.
  • Photoshop Skills.

Round 3:

  • Presentation Skills.
  • Clarity of ideas.
  • Impact of the speakers on the judges.
  • Marketing Skills

Overall, judging will be based on Originality and Creativity of the participants, as well as the Persuasiveness of the advertisement and the promotional video for the campaign. 

The decision of the judges shall be treated as final and binding. The organizers reserve the rights to change any or all of the above rules as they deem fit. Change in rules, if any will be highlighted on the website and notified to the registered participants.

Please do note that the third round will be judged by some of the executives of Mahindra.
